Occasionally the placenta can be reported as low lying at an earlier scan in your pregnancy. This specific placental site scan will reassess the position of the placenta in relation to the internal os: exit to the uterus where baby is hopefully going to pass through if all is well. The placental site scan is best performed from 34 weeks. The placental site scan also includes the standard late growth scan.
