A fetal gender or sexing scan will determine whether you are having a boy or girl.
The best time to have the gender scan is from 18 weeks of pregnancy onwards, which at this stage it is 98% accurate.
Determining the gender is always routinely offered at any of our other scan BUT equally if you wish to keep it a surprise then we can hide this from you very effectively.
What do we check for on the Gender scan?
Gender Scan: Male
A growth scan of the baby is performed routinely to check baby’s well-being by measuring:
The head: head circumference (HC)
The abdomen: abdominal circumference (AC)
The leg: femur length (FL)
Black and white baby scan photos are given to you along with a full written report.
If for any reason we are unable to determine the sex of your baby on the day, we will arrange a repeat gender scan appointment for you free of charge.
