Liver Blood Flow
Various imaging techniques including endoscopy, x-ray, MRI and CT scanning can be used to image and assess the body. Ultrasound scans are the most common, least invasive and the safest to perform.
Performed by trained specialists and using high frequency sound waves an image is produced of the internal body structure. Ultrasound can be used to image many body parts including organs, glands, blood vessels, tendons, joints and ligaments.
At this is my: body we offer you a fast, affordable, diagnostic ultrasound imaging service for those who wish to avoid long waiting lists or simply want fast reassurance and peace of mind that all is well.
this is my: preparation
Preparation depends on the area under examination.
For upper abdominal scans we will ask you to refrain from eating or drinking for a few hours prior to scanning. Pelvic and renal examinations require a full bladder so you will be asked drink approximately 2 pints of fluid prior to your appointment and attend with a full bladder. Other areas need no specific preparation.
this is my: results
Your results will be promptly discussed with you and a report issued. Images and reports are available in a format which can be emailed to your healthcare professional. This allows the images and report to be interpreted so treatment can be scheduled with greater accuracy.
Working closely with you and your healthcare professional we will liaise with all to ensure continuity of care every step of the way and suggest any follow-up should it be required. All reports are verified by a consultant radiologist.
